Reimagine Rdale Roundup – March 7, 2025

Student engagement begins

This week marked a major milestone in the Reimagine Rdale: Vision 2030 process as we kicked off student engagement with our first student meeting at Armstrong High School on March 6. Moving forward, grade-level meetings will be held at every secondary school, and multiple student focus groups will take place across all elementary, middle, and high schools.

Superintendent Dr. Teri Staloch emphasized the importance of centering student voices:
"Our students are the heart of this work. Their experiences, ideas, and insights will help shape a district that meets their needs today and in the future."

Community pop-up events expand outreach

In addition to student meetings, we hosted several pop-up engagement events this week to reach families and community members in different spaces. Events were held with:

📍 Girl Scout Troop 18413 (March 1-2)
📍 Rockford Road Library (March 3)
📍 New Hope / Crystal Business Association (March 5)

Staff engagement continues

Our staff engagement meetings remain a vital part of the Reimagine Rdale process. This week, meetings were held at:

✔ March 3 – FAIR Crystal
✔ March 4 – Zachary Lane Elementary
✔ March 7 – Achievement and Integration (ESC)

Two distinct but interconnected efforts

Just as a reminder -- Rdale is working on two critical efforts that, while separate, must align for long-term success:

🔹 Budget deficit and stabilization: The district must cut $21 million for the 2025-26 school year to restore financial stability.
🔹 Reimagine Rdale: Vision 2030: A long-term planning initiative to create a strong, sustainable, and competitive future for our district.
