Vendor fair to support K-5 English curriculum adoption set for May 2

Families and staff across the district are invited to attend the upcoming K–5 English Language Arts (ELA) materials adoption vendor fair, scheduled for Friday, May 2, at Sandburg Middle School. The fair, taking place from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., will provide an opportunity for attendees to preview and evaluate two ELA curriculum options, which include Wit & Wisdom and EL Education.

The event supports the district’s review and selection process for new elementary ELA materials. Attendees will have access to digital previews, video overviews, and walkthroughs for each curriculum. Vendors will be present to showcase the materials and answer questions. Staff participating in LETRS training on the same day are encouraged to visit the fair at their convenience, while all other K–5 staff should attend during their site’s assigned time.

In addition to the in-person fair, the district has made online preview options available for those wishing to explore the resources beforehand. Login credentials for both Wit & Wisdom and EL Education have been provided, along with supplemental videos and guides to support informed decision-making on the flyer. The vendor fair is a key step in ensuring educators select the most effective tools to enhance literacy instruction across all elementary grade levels.
